Alanya is one of the most popular resorts on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, where more than 5 million tourists come annually in the hope of relaxing on the warm sea and seeing the most famous places of the city. This region contains luxurious fashionable hotels, hospitable parks and comfortable sandy beaches, so this destination is often chosen by guests traveling with small children.

Alanya, like its surroundings, is rich in a variety of attractions, which the pages of our travel blog will tell you about. The most famous of them is the cable car, or funicular, located right in the city, at the foot of the legendary mountain, considered the symbol of the resort.

The funicular is officially called “Alanya Teleferik” and was opened in 2017. It welcomes guests every day; in one of its 14 cabins you can go up straight to the fortress, take a walk on its territory and return back straight to the legendary Cleopatra Beach. Next to it is conveniently located the small but very memorable Damlatash Cave, the air of which is considered useful in the treatment of diseases of the respiratory system.

There are also many interesting and unusual places in the vicinity of the city. Guests often go out to admire the magnificent mountain scenery on the way to the unusual mountain river Dimchay, where there are special places for picnics. Along the route, tourists will also find the famous Dim Cave, about 1 million years old - the second largest cave in Turkey.
